Program Sustainability
Using criteria developed together with MONE, DBE1 has certified more than 400 facilitators (school supervisor and former DBE1 staff) for school level programs. Meanwhile, using criteria developed together with partner universities, more than 100 service providers for district level programs have been certified. They come from five universities, Education Quality Assurance Body, provincial and district staff, and former DBE1 staff. After DBE1 ends in December 2011, these facilitators and service providers are available to provide assistance to districts in the use of the tools that DBE1 developed and used.
DBE1 facilitated development of 49 provincial/districts education policies. These policies institutionalized the good practices obtained from using tools and methodologies developed and implemented by DBE1.
